Wenzel Analytics Wenzel Analytics is my solo practice as a professional investment manager. For twenty-two years I have provided a boutique and personalized service to individuals who trust and prefer an individual rather than commoditized portfolios and reports. Custody is through Interactive Brokers. Allocation for each client is tailored to risk preferences. While I do this for the experience of working with and for my clients, the business purpose is to optimize returns for a given level of uncertainty. Our allocation has moved heavily to fixed income returns, usually above 10% for the year going forward. This is higher than the compound annual growth rate of the US stock market over the past hundred years, without having volatility concerns. Plus we are buying preferred stocks at a 20% discount to the eventual call price. The chart below and it's elaboration are found in the paper Investing for Low Risk, High Yield under High Income on the left navigation bar. The returns are percent change for the quarter. Would you rather be invested in the blue bars or the orange bars? Or would you rather be in the blue bars, do a buy and hold, and ignore the orange bars?
